highlights of our honeymoon cruise:
-FOOD FOOD FOOD FOOD
-Margaritas!!!!
-getting the Norovirus which prevented tons of weight gain!
Norovirus story: apparently people don't wash their hands much on a cruise. so their dirty germs are everywhere causing this horrible virus to be spread easily. The cruise before ours had it bad- over 250 people- so they completely disinfected our ship before we got on. Surprise surprise, we got it anyway! First Bill was "infected"- what we initially thought was alcohol poisoning (Teets? alcohol?)- anyway after several hours of him hurling we concluded it was the dreaded NV...my turn happened a couple of nights later- let's just say the bathroom was my very best friend for a while- ugh.
-excursions: ATV'ing in Aruba, Ziplining in Costa Rica- AWESOME!
-Donche....ohhh Donche- our drink waiter- I begged Bill to let us adopt him but alas we had to leave him on the ship. Donche is 23 and from Macedonia- he works for several months on the cruise and then goes back to his country and in his words "has 4 day benders"...he was everywhere we needed him to be- our favorite bar- outside by the pool...he had memorized our cruise # so drinks were a little too EASY for us to get. Towards the end of the cruise, we had become so close to him, we were excited to learn that he was banging the casino manager- GO DONCHE! plus his name is fun! He introduced Bill to the "Captain's Bounty"- basically rum, rum, and more rum in one pretty glass. He liked to watch us dance- I think he asked Bill if he was a "professional dancer"- ummmm?!!! Donche and Bill had matching aviator shades- they were like peas in a pod!
-BINGO- we played everyday- we lost everyday- I was not happy for anyone that won. But we learned some fun new Bingo language: "I 16...I 16...sweet 16 never been kissed...RUBBISH!" we even came up with some of our own..."Congrats folks, it's not malignant, it's B9, B9 folks"
-Casino- actually this is not that great of a memory as we got our asses handed to us.
Blackjack? losers
Craps? losers
Free drinks? NOPE, thank you!
-balcony room- I think this is key when you cruise- we had a great view- I miss staring out at the waves
-Canadians- you're from Canada? funny you don't look Canadian (l-e-a-k joke there)- well they like to cruise, I personally think they outnumbered the Americans on board.
-the bill...yeah! it was LOWER than what we thought! go us! I thank the Norovirus for this as well, bc it put us out of drinking commission for a while.
I'll let Bill provide the rest of the commentary.
and we'll post pictures as soon as we figure out our new camera- I even have a video of me ziplining.
