Sorry Doctuh!
I KNOW I have been BAD about posting lately.
I will try today to write something that consists of more than 2 sentences.
But for now...
MCD (Capt. D's wife) gave us these AMAZING little presents the other night.
Apparently she was "out" for a late night snack one night and found these at a Walgreens.
THEY ARE THE MOST PERFECT GIFTS EVER!
I think they look like someone painted them specifically for us!

update 2
Update on "School"
well one of our boys is doing "ok"- keeping to himself, playing only with humans.
The other is "snapping" at some of the new friends.
hmmm
guess which is which?
Buster is the loner.
Dailey is the snapper.
(although I do feel, as his mother, I need to say, he is the SWEETEST baby in my opinion)
They aren't going to officially fail him yet- they will wait it out and see if he adjusts better as the day continues....

First day of "school"
Well I just dropped the dogs off at The Barkley for their observation playtime day.
They will call me at 11am to let me know "how they did"....
fingers crossed for a good report card!

Circle of life
Up and down weekend.
up: got to see Legend 33 and his lady (she needs a name, help Legend 33) and wish them congrats on their engagement!
up: found out that Diesel and (she needs a name too)- I'll call her "Hard Knockers" are pregnant!!!!!
up: Gators win, my heart grows even bigger for Tim Tebow
up: we got a real, live Christmas tree!!! Apparently I picked out the "cadillac" of trees- only the best for JAR/JAM, I guess. It smells amazing and even better, the dogs haven't peed on it yet!!
up: Gators are going to the National Championship game!!!
up: Buckeyes made a BCS bowl as well!
up: I may make it into the playoffs for our fantasy league- sadly Bill could not beat Captain D's team- I just need Warrick Dunn to uh....hurt something?
down: our close friend JB's dad passed away and we are going to the funeral today.
Puts everything in perspective.
Tell someone you love them today!

All by myseeeeelllfff
I am the only one at work today.
Hence I made some executive decisions:
1. Bring TV in and watch it
2. Wear jeans
Currently watching:
Family Feud
(I am shouting out answers)
Future plans for today:
-watch TV
-get Chinese for lunch
-hope the snow keeps falling
-go play with the dogs who are at work with me
-decide exactly how early to leave to get on the road to Columbus

Only the best!
I just finalized the reservations for my sweet fur babies to stay here:
http://www.thebarkleypethotel.com/default.aspx
when we go to FL to get married.
Take some time to look around the site- it's hilarious!
think I'll spend $25 so that they can take a limo ride to McDonald's?
or $50 for a Hyde Park steak?

Ahhhhh
Tidbit about JAR/JAM:
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the smell of Christmas trees.
My goal this year is to convince Bill to allow us to get a real (small) one in the condo.
When I was younger and I used to go with my father to get a tree, I would collect branches from the ground of the "farm" where we bought our tree, and place the branches all around my room. Specifically near my bed, so I could smell it while laying down.
Nothing has changed.
It is Christmas wreath time where I work so I convinced (told) the guys from outside to bring a wreath inside so I could inhale the smell all day while pretending to work.
Enjoy!

A post and some pictures
So I managed to solve my typewriter issue yesterday...
find someone else to do the typing!!
score!
My back is slightly looser...go on, I know you know what to say here...
Bill got to go to the island yesterday to winterize our golf cart (love you LEIGC)...
and when he got home, he gave me a present!!!:
Talked with god for a while (my uncle, aren't I lucky?)
and we had a good laugh about our favorite Far Side Cartoon...
I'll post it here but I know it's hard to see.
Most fans of the Far Side are probably familiar with this one.
I get da nuts Squeezle, I get da nuts!!
Tonight- dinner at Lola's!!! My quandry, if you can call it that, is whether or not I should stick with my FAVORITE item there, the short ribs, or try to branch out and order something new.

Back into rage mode
1. I hurt my back. Now I waddle around like the 400lb gorilla I work with.
2. The afore-mentioned 400lb gorilla is not at work, AGAIN!. This means I get to do all of her grunt work- i.e. all of her TYPING on the TYPEWRITER!
Yes I am aware that it is 2008 and we (SHE) still uses a typewriter.
Well her normal typewriter broke- go figure!!- so INSTEAD OF SWITCHING OVER TO USE THE COMPUER 100%- the decision is made (obviously not by me) to go into the basement and get one of the OLDER typewriters to use.
My head hurts more than my back now because I just put my head through the window.
Here is a picture of my nightmare:
Say a prayer for me.

My hero...and other stuff...
Well it's time for Thanksgiving!!!
My "friends" have appeared and I was really excited to greet them!
For those that are NOT from Florida- this family is from Publix (supermarket) and they start showing up in commercials in October.
I love them.
And now onto my hero.
Some may know him as Bill...some may know him as Teets...to me, he is the GREAT FAN INSTALLER!!!
We now have a bedroom ceiling fan.
My nightly menopausal heat waves are over!!!
The great part, is that mid-fan installation, Bill ran into a bit of a problem.
Something to do with the bolts, whatever I don't know- he was getting really frustrated. The solution was to turn around and head back to Home Depot to get more parts. I felt bad for him when he left. He was not happy.
Scary Bill!
Anyhoo to my surprise he walked back in only about 5 minutes later with parts in hand...how you may ask?
My crafy husband decided to just check the condo utility room, (yeah the dopes here leave that shit OPEN and UNLOCKED- arghhh) and found the parts there!!
GENIUS!
Thanks Billy!

Wedding stuff
I'm going to be blogging often today.
bc well I'm bored.
So here goes:
So as some of you may know, Bill and I are married.
Legally.
I say "legally" not because I am highly religious and we haven't been married before g-o-d but because I am highly "family oriented" and we haven't yet been married before our combined families...
anyhoo- Bill and I jointly decided that we wanted to be married in front of our families so we (and when I say "we" I mean my parents) planned a pretty special day for us.
but very non-traditional.
just a luncheon and then back to my father's house to watch COLLEGE FOOTBALL- (dear heavenly whoever, please please don't make the Gators play the Buckeyes that day...)-
even as non-traditional as I wanted this to be, I am bending a bit (go ahead say it...THATSWHATSHESAID) bc I am my father's only daughter and he wants it a bit more traditional...
so for our NON-WEDDING here is what we are having musically...
-Ceremony: Harpist
-Luncheon: Band
-After reception at my father's house (and remember our goal is to watch football and hang out): one man band with steel drum who can sing pop music
yep.
all of that for 40 or so people.

If you read this blog of Bill's:
http://billtblogs.blogspot.com/2008/11/here-comes-change.html
then you know it was a bit controversial...(see all the comments)...
Well, I just read a comment that I think SAYS IT ALL!
I loved it so much, that I decided to make it my blog for today...
GREAT JOB LEGEND 33!!!!!!
I am far from republican...but I always supported my canditates, from Clinton vs. Dole in my first election to now. However if it takes a minority to inspire you to vote, or makes you feel good to say "It's good all black kids have hope not to be just a rapper/NBA player" that's just as bad as being apathetic when there was a "boring" read: Al Gore type running.
Whoever said little black kids had to be rappers BEFORE Obama anyways? I cannot stand all this bullshit - oh now my kids can do anything they want now, since Obama's in. What changed in the last 48 hours? Did you stop having kids you can't afford with multiple fathers? Are you going to work and paying taxes instead of bleeding the welfare system? Please. The main problem you're going to have is the payday cash xpress loans are going to be shut down since Issue 5 passed, ouch!
I just want to know one thing - did everyone in the special olympics think - "hey I can be president one day?" when W got elected? Sorry, it had to be said lol.

oh man.
Let them eat cake!!!
Here is a picture I had to draw this morning to illustrate how I would like my wedding cake to look:
a. I don't really even want a cake that much bc we aren't having the traditional wedding
b. Bill hates cake
c. It's super hard to "design" this when I am in Ohio- plus my parents got to do the best part, THE TASTING!!
I know I know- I should quit my job and become an artist....

I miss my bed
NO, I didn't vote today- I voted last week by MAILING in my ballot.
Why the f would I even think about standing in a 5 hour line??!!!!
Why doesn't everyone vote by mail???!!!
I listen to people whine about having to take off work and stand in line yada yada yada, well look in the mirror when you want to whine about that. VOTE BY MAIL next time.
sheesh.
I am obviously a bit tired today (cranky? or tired, hmmm).
I stayed up extra late (even later than Bill) to make sure that Clinton Portis did what he needed to do so that my team would win in Fantasy Football.
I won.
This week I play Bill.
It could get ugly (read: it "will" get ugly).
I am thankful that Bill and I are perfectly matched politically.
We pretty much agree on all issues.
So while we don't agree at all most of the time during NCAA Football season, at least we aren't battling it out during this Election.
what else what else....
I had my Bachelorette party and as soon as I get pictures, I will find some that are"appropriate to post"...
Highlights:
I wore granny panties on the outside of my jeans all night.
I danced with someone who apparently was a real life "gangsta"...
I fell in love.- with the macaroni and cheese at Lolita's.
I didn't puke in public.
More later, someone asked me to do something at work- WTF??!! I don't normally like to do any actual work until at least 10am.

You know what they say....
“Red sky at night, sailor’s delight. Red sky in morning, sailor’s warning”
This was the sky this morning:
I'd say a good foreshadowing for the weekend...there's a storm a brewin'...
HURRICANE JAR/JAM!!
:)
This weekend is my Bachelorette party (and Bill's Bachelor party).
He is headed down to Columbus and I am staying in Cleveland.
I am excited although I have no idea what the plans are.
MCD has taken over so I'm pretty confident we will have a great time!
Will Angry Johnny make it?
Will 80sBand vomit his Hyde Park dinner?
Will I lose 10lbs from sweating my arse off dancing?
Remains to be seen....
TGIF!
p.s. "Squeaks when you bang it...THATSWHATSHESAID!!!"
God Bless The Office...

Listen! Do you smell that?
(line from one of my favorite movies: Ghostbusters)
Anyhow first this:
1. Because I think it's funny
2. Because it's a good way to start this particular blog.
Everyone knows that Bill and I have 2 dogs- Jack Russell mix, and a pug.
I raised the pug.
Bill raised the JR.
Now we raise them together.
It was important that I point out that I raised the pug bc his level of discipline is quite different from that of the JR.
The pug has no discipline.
I got him at a point in my life where I was out drinking every night and working at the OG everyday and all I wanted to do when I came home was let him run around and act cute.
I am his bitch. There I said it.
That leads us to last night.
After we got home from the Capt D./MCD house (which was a GREAT TIME)- we got into bed and watched the end of the first game of the World Series.
JR was in his usual place under the covers.
I was laying on Bill getting my nightly head scratching (I am a lucky lady!).
Buster (the pug) was no where to be found.
His usual spot (my pillow) was empty.
I could not relax.
We turned the tv down and listened.
Sounds of snorting and breathing and licking were heard.
Buster was next to the bed, on the floor, licking my robe.
Sigh
Anyhow I got him back on the bed and he starting his nightly routine of getting settled by licking the pillow, my hand, whatever was close by.
I am used to this and let him do whatever he needs to do.
Bill gets icked out.
I understand.
Anyhow we got into a "discussion" about how Buster was so spoiled yada yada yada.
The next thing I know, Bill presents his punishment.
By way of smell.
A bad smell.
A horrible smell.
Tear to my eyes kind of smell.
I know you know what I am referring to here.
I tried my best to contain it by pushing all of the covers down.
He did his best to lift the covers and wave around the smell for total shock and awe of my nasal passage.
Point goes to Bill.

Meat good
Now that I've learned how to skin a deer, I decided that I might make a good hunter (or "huntress" or whatever).
I also decided that I need to spend my "free time" at work doing something a bit more educational.
So I downloaded "Oregon Trail".
I know you remember playing it.
Time to go shoot some meat for my family!!!

Cedar - full of freaks- Point
This past weekend I took my first trip to Cedar Point.
It was Bill, me, Brooke, and 80sBand.
AngryJ and Nutmeg girl were supposed to come along but AngryJ had to WORK- ugh.
Poor poor Nutmeg girl (we all thought you should have flown out anyway)...
:)
Cedar Point highlights:
- it was CROWDED. More crowded than Bill, Brooke, or 80sBand had ever seen before.
- Nutmeg girl assigned us the task of finding the best mullet. However, it didn't seem to be mullet day at the park...rather "I'm a freak teenager day" instead. Lip piercing seemed to be the way to go.
- Waiting in lines for the rides sucked, but we came up with fun ways to pass along the time. Including but not limited to: "Guess what instrument that freaky band kid plays", thinking of how to get more "normal people" (people like us) to the park by inventing new park promotions like "Only people with 401Ks can enter the park day"
-We only got to go on 3 rides: Magnum, Mean Streak, and Millenium Force.
Millenium Force was the first ride and I'm proud to say, I did NOT crap my pants. I did cry a little, but I'd like to say they were tears of joy. It was SUPER fun!!!!
- Probably the best highlight was when 80sBand saw someone famous!!
We were in line for the Mean Streak when 80sBand became quite excited. He informed us that "Jeff Daniels" was in line, just ahead of us. You know, the guy from Dumb and Dumber that isn't Jim Carrey.
We all turned to look but 80sBand quickly told us "don't look yet, you want to be able to see him from the front" and "to be patient"...
.....
.....
so we wait...
and we look....
and now I'll show a picture of the REAL Jeff Daniels bc this was obviously NOT him...
In conclusion, we had a really good time.
The weather was great.
80sBand pleased us all by remembering on every ride where the camera was and taking GREAT pictures (you know the ones where you get off the ride and there is some kind of hut place where all the screens of pictures from the ride are located).

Take 2
Dear Tony Romo,
Hi.
You said you were not going to play for 4 weeks.
So I picked up your back-up and was just starting to feel "ok" about this whole thing.
Then you decide to FUCK EVERYTHING UP AGAIN and announce that you'd like to play.
Well I'd like to shove a hot poker up your ass.
I hate you more than I did before.

Dear Tony Romo,
Hi.
You were my fantasy football QB.
You scored a lot of points for me.
I am #1 in my league.
Then you went and broke your finger.
I hate you.
I think you should go fuck yourself.
Sincerely,
JAR

Pretty Lady
So yesterday was a really fun day for me...
Spent about 6 hours at the cardiologist.
Highlights:
-I am now radioactive for 3 days. Seriously. I even get to carry around a card that says I am radioactive. Not sure why though- should I announce it at whatever store I go to? Hmmm never wore a straight-jacket before....
-before any of my tests even got started there was a "situation".
The nurse that was to put my IV line had one direct question before she could get started. Actually that isn't true- she had one direct question AFTER she put the IV in me. "Could you be pregnant"- now, I'm pretty sure that almost 99% of the patients there have no problem answering "no" to that question, as their eggs are withered and dried up. But of course, mine aren't (not that old yet 80sBand!)- so I answer "well I guess I could be"- SHE THEN PROCEEDS TO RIP THE IV OUT OF MY ARM "Well we can not do the test today"-
I get pretty angry at this point and she explains that she was going to inject me with radiation (so they could watch it go thru my heart) and that could kill my "baby"- Of course I'm not pregnant, which I told her. She said "well you said you could be"- and I'm all "well of course I could be, I have sex and no birth control is 100% effective"-
"Are you pregnant"
"No, I don't think so"
"Are you breastfeeding"
"What the FUCK is wrong with you"- ok so I didn't say that.
This went back and forth for quite a while, I even laughed at one point bc it was so crazy. At which point I got yelled at, THIS IS NOT FUNNY, THIS IS RADIATION!!!
okayyyyyyyyyyyyy
Anyhow somehow we got to common ground and back in went the IV line.
The rest of the visit was uneventful- had some treadmill tests, told everyone at the office that I cremated people- had some pictures taken of my heart- accidentally flashed a 90year old patient- good thing they have defibrillators in every room- yuck yuck.
And at the end, I got to leave with my very own holter monitor.

I look so hot I'm surprised Bill let me out of his sight today.....
BIG SIGH.

The hands kill me!
Some say SNL sucks- sometimes I agree, however there have been times Bill and I have been hysterically laughing...
Here is one skit that made us laugh, a lot.
(it's a link to another blog that has the video)

Camping
I think Bill is going to write a detailed account of our camping trip.
I just wanted to mention that I (helped) skin a deer.
yep.
But I didn't eat any of it.
I will wait to read Bill's blog and then come back and fill any gaps in if I notice anything missing.

New favorite song
and I got to hear it twice!
I was so excited, I documented it...
(you can ask Bill, when I find a new song I like, I become OCD about changing radio stations until I find it...)
Cause you're hot then you're cold
You're yes then you're no
You're in then you're out
You're up then you're down
You're wrong when it's right
It's black and it's white
We fight, we break up
We kiss, we make up
(you)You don't really want to stay, no
(but you)But you don't really want to go-o
You're hot then you're cold
You're yes then you're no
You're in and you're out
You're up and you're down
First time!
Second time!

Those Stupid F-ing Gators
Yeah I said it.
WTF??
You know what, I don't even want to abbreviate that...
WHAT THE FUCK?!!!!!!!!!!!
That was some of the worst play-calling I have ever seen (even worse than good ol' Tressel's calls).
PUT TEBOW BEHIND THE CENTER!
GO FOR A FIELD GOAL!
The Sun Sentinel got it right: "Arrogant Urban".
I sent a couple of people the same text messages: "I hate the Gators more than cancer".
And it's true.
F them.
sigh.
ok.
I do still love them.
And I will love them even more if they can run the table, win the SEC, and maybe make something out of this season.
Oh and for all your Fuckeyes that felt the need to text me after that game.
Go fuck off.
You lost to USC, who turns out, also SUCKS!
And, YOU ALSO LOST TO US IN A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP game, not to mention 3 other BIG games that you couldn't win.
I love Bill, who happens to love the Buckeyes, so for him, I want good things to happen to teams he loves (I won't even get started on the Browns in this post)- but for the "others"- you know who you are, I wish nothing but losses, and instead of keeping my mouth shut and not rubbing it in your faces right after a loss (which I restrain myself from doing but do out of respect), next time, and oh yes, there will be a next time where you lose, I'm going to wipe your asses in your own defeat.
Whew. ALL RIGHTY THEN!
On that note- we are supposed to go camping this week and I am excited about that.
Basically just to toast marshmellows and hang out in comfy camping chairs.
Bill and I have not been camping together, so I am looking forward to watching him pitch a tent...ohhhhh I am hilarious sometimes, aren't I?
;)

This should age me...
(I'm sure 80sBand will appreciate how this makes me seem even older!)
These were the song selections we had to choose from when I was a senior (to be our Senior Song)
"If you Leave" by OMD (the song at the end of "Pretty in Pink")
"We Belong" by Pat Benetar,
or the theme song from St. Elmo's Fire.
WTF (w=why in this case) did we even have "We Belong"?!!!!!!
As far as I remember, that music video was about about a bunch of prostitutes....

ER- not the tv show
so...yesterday bc my Insurance sucks(!!!!!) I went to the ER to try and get an echocardiogram done (ECG).
I got there at 12:30pm- I was discharged (ugh I hate that word, add that to my list of yuck words) at 5:30-ish.
What got done? NOTHING!!!!!!!!!
They took an EKG, they took blood, I had to pee in a cup, and they took a chest xray.
I've come to discover that when you are in the ER a chest xray is like when you were in college, and went to the student clinic and they tell you that you have either mono or strep throat regardless of what symptoms you present. Dumb!
So, after the chest xray the "brilliant" nurse forgot me in there and I sat there for 35 minutes.
HELLO????????? MCFLY?!!!!!!!!!
The only semi-entertaining part was that there was some old man who kept yelling (imagine the Cookie Monster voice) "HUNGRY!!!!! NURSE!!!!!"
Turns out the poor man has no teeth, and what does the food service staff deliver him? A hamburger and potato chips!!!!!
Ah.
So today I try to tackle this issue again to try and get my ECG that my doctor ordered me to have.
Oh yeah...I got free tix to the Indians game tonight.
Front row- right above the visitors' box!
Go Tribe!
and...CONGRATS to Partytard for "getting off"!!!!!!!!!!

Up and down
On the down side:
Finally got into the dr. yesterday, seems I do have a little something "sketchy" about the "electricity of my heart"- it basically gets excited too easily...more tests being scheduled...
On the up and up:
-got the "save-the-dates" all designed with my favorite designer MCD! Now we just have to hammer out the exact location for our PIB party and move on from there!
5-2-09!!!
-most of the wedding details are being finalized this week...photographer, cake, florist- it's really NICE to have wonderful parents who basically plan your whole wedding!! (the only thing I am "bitter" about is not experiencing the cake testing, but I think my mom is going to arrange something for when we go home (FL) for Thanksgiving)
Not much else going on.
Fantasy Football turns me insane.
UF/Tenn. game this weekend- that will also make me insane, I'm sure.
I get to use my "gifted-ness" and help my sister out- have I ever mentioned I am GIFTED?!!!
We cremated a rather large person the other day. 767 lbs. Took 6 hours. Moral of the story, don't get that fat- it complicates things.
And on that note....
400lb gorilla still not speaking to me.

Last night's goal: get Bill more addicted to "Entourage"- mission accomplished!
We discovered we get HBO On Demand for free... and so I left Bill on the couch watching more episodes while I went to bed.
I love Ari Gold!

Things I Hate
1. Football players that elect to have season-ending surgery after the season has started- F YOU MERRIMAN!
2. When a Funeral Director comes in and sarcastically remarks "Flip Flop Wednesday is it?" (yes I wear flip-flops to work, so does my boss- eat it)
3. When scientists start a new experiment:
http://www.cnn.com/2008/TECH/09/10/lhc.collider/index.html
that I think wastes TONS of $$$ AND now makes me afraid we are going to be sucked in a black hole. (no joke, I fear these types of things- also asteroids are on that list as well)
4. When people keep interrupting me with "work" while I am trying to look at honeymoon ideas online.
5. This non-stop coverage of Obama's "pig in lipstick" remark- I don't like Obama but this isn't a story worth covering.
6. The new 90210, I tried again last night to watch it, Bill even tried to- it isn't good.
7. The fact that it is only Wednesday.
8. The coach of Miami WHINING bc we went for a touchdown with 29 seconds left- wtf?!!! should we have just spooning each other on the field rather than keep playing the game of FOOTBALL?!!!!!!!!!
9. It is soo nice outside today and I am stuck at work smelling a decomposing body.

RAGING MAD
so you might be wondering how my dr. apt went.......
I LEFT BECAUSE AFTER AN HOUR AND A HALF OF WAITING I WAS TOLD IT WOULD STILL BE A WHILE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
unacceptable!!!!!!!!!
ugh
I LEFT BECAUSE AFTER AN HOUR AND A HALF OF WAITING I WAS TOLD IT WOULD STILL BE A WHILE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ugh
I'm rockin one leg...
so I have a Dr. apt today.
I am going to request some bloodwork bc I think my sugar levels are all fucked up (that is literally what I told the nurse when I called for the appointment, ok no I didn't)
I am nervous.
I don't like needles.
In other news, I actually won my first battle in Fantasy Football.
I played Bill.
Ok so here is why I think I won: not because my team is great (in fact, they suck and I hate them all) but because Bill's team name is "Off Constantly"- which means...
I beat....
GET IT?!!!
hahahahahah
That Bill is so clever!
and this, just because:

It's gooood to be alive!!!!!
so this weekend was fun- laid back, but fun.
Friday night we stayed in bc I was not feeling well- so we watched movies...
Saturday was a big football day.
What should have been 2 relatively easy games for us turned out not to be actually.
Ohio State had more of a struggle but they were two very very ugly games.
Hello??? Percy Harvin??? Where the F were you??????????
Anyhow we got to hang out a bunch with MCD which is always a good time...
Sunday was a bit more exciting.
Browns vs. Cowboys 4:15 game
Through an amazing ISLAND connection, we scored two luxury box tickets to the game.
We made plans to tailgate with some friends down by the stadium which actually turned out to be quite an ordeal bc Bill and I are not familiar with tailgating locale terminology:
"Are you by the Pit or by the Muny lot?"
THE WHAT???
THE WHERE????
Luckily for us Partytard took it upon herself to come find us and then good times began!
We saw pancakes being thrown at Cowboys fans...
We saw a marriage ceremony...sort of (and let me tell you, Bill and I were "this close" to just getting married right there in the parking lot)
We saw an old "friend" from Dallas...
Mostly it was just really fun to be out there among crazy Browns fans...
So then it was time to get to the game.
Met up with our ticket connection friend and to the LUXURY box we headed.
let me tell you, it is AWESOME!
free food, free beer, great seats.
We walked in and lo and behold our favorite Miller Ferry friend was there as well (which was odd bc we were hanging out with his brother all day before the game and he never mentioned it)
So we settle in and get ready to watch the game....
Oh yeah, one more thing...JERRY JONES (the owner of the Dallas Cowboys) WAS IN THE LUXURY BOX RIGHT NEXT TO US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, I geeked out.
Yes, we took pictures.
Yes, I tried "getting in" with his grandsons.
Big flag:
Ohio State band forming the "Script Ohio"- yes even I was excited to see it, it is pretty cool (even got some goosebumps...but ahh ummmm Go Gators!!)
We were that close:
Yeah I took a picture (still like my ring better though- hee hee)
Excited to see me???? ah yeah, nope..Jerry Jones...

I feel old-er
(on the left)
So since I probably won't get to this tomorrow (bc I will be emotionally freaking out as usual watching football), I wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my little brother...
WHO IS TURNING 21!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh god.
oh god help us.
oh god help Gainesville.
My brother-in-law (balls deep) will also be up there as well and I'd like him to "help" my brother celebrate.
In fact, my brother is in a fraternity and I think any new pledge should clean vomit, my brother's.
People who know my bro- let's call him "Dino"- might not know my brother is a gifted lyrical writer.
At the age of 5 he made up a song:
Boobs a bagina, stick it up yer penis.
Yeah.
It was really catchy actually and it was not uncommon to find any of my friends singing along.
He also apparently can bench, alot.
In fact it's about all he talks about- when he isn't "checking" (he loves hockey) me into a wall or trying to show me his muscles.
I love him though and can't wait to hang out at the bars with him...and let my sister drive us home.
Just like the title of this blog suggests...
Random stuff:
I know I have not blogged in a while but I'm lazy, sorry.
FBI visit was really fun-took her to an annual party here in Cleveland and then we hustled her up to PIB, where according to her, she only had 2 non-alcoholic drinks in 3 days- MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!!!!!!!!
I guess while floating in the lake for several hours, some gross shit got in my ear and gave me an ear infection- it sucks, I'm miserable.
Big weekend coming up...UF/Miami- family rivalry if you will...
Got Rob Deer's dad's email so the SEC/Big 10/UF/OSU "discussions" can now take place outside of Middle Bass Island....
Bill's dad gave us a medical scare but seems to be doing much better, of which I know we are all very thankful...
Wedding planning still going on, I think the only thing left is the florist- but you'd have to ask my mom about that since she is the one doing it all...
Angry Johnny is now my new IM friend.
Rob Deer/TNash got engaged and to celebrate I gorged myself on garlic pasta- good times....
I need to reveal a secret talent I have.
I have the ability to "spot" people in crowds on television.
It's true.
For example during basketball games, when they do a pan over the crowd, I can usually pick out some celebrities right away.
Last night, during the Repub. Convention I saw Dudethatsrad's boyfriend.
Bill was skeptical.
We checked again, I was sure, he was doubtful, but Dudethatsrad confirmed it- he was there!
I know I know- you can't believe I have this many incredible talents.
Go figure.....

Fri-day
FBI is here- it's fun to have her visiting.
Last night's convention speech made me want to puke.
Bill had to take his blog down for a bit, so I guess it's up to me to entertain the masses!!!!
well, that will have to wait until next week bc I am out of here!
Have a good Labor Day!

So far
pretty ok day today.
got some FREE Browns/Bears tix for tonight's game...
Over this past weekend Bill and I were talking about how soon I will be Mrs. "Teets" and I will get to run around places saying "because I'm Jennie m-fing Teets!!" (which actually I am excited about)- but Bill said that I could only do that if the situation was "f-ing Teets" worthy...
well I think scoring anything FREE is "f-ing Teets" worthy so....
"How did you get free Browns tickets?"
"BECAUSE I AM (the future) JENNIE F-ING TEETS!!!"
lol
plus the "FBI" arrives tonight so I am excited about that!!
more later...

31 going on 80
Contrary to popular belief (or at least what 80sBand will tell you) I am only 31.
But I have been having some digestive issues similar to ones that someone living off of Social Security might have.
This isn't something new though.
I'm the girl who always carried a bottle of Pepto and a package of rolaids in my purse.
I'm the girl who would take at least a couple swigs of the pink stuff during the day in high school.
And nothing has changed really.
Here is my bookshelf at work:
I bring this up today bc I feel as though I have been punched in the stomach.
I have been feeling this way since early Monday morning.
Now, there are definite foods that I can NOT eat bc of the afore mentioned stomach problems:
raw onions
too much red tomato sauce
fried food
too much cheese/dairy
So I had to think about what could have caused this particular situation.
Here is what I came up with:
cheesey bread from my FAVORITE pizza place at PIB
Lobster Bisque
I feel very very very sad.
These are 2 things that I was hoping to eat many times during the year for many many years to come.
I made a decision.
I can live without the pizza/cheesey bread, but I REFUSE to give up the Bisque.
"Don't give up the Bisque!!"

yeah yeah yeah
I know.
I've been slacking on the blog.
I've actually been a little busy at work, which makes the day go by a little faster so I guess it's a good thing.
making a website takes some time- I guess you have to write more than:
"Hey bury dead people here!!"
So what have I been up to: (in no particular order)
-eating a gross amount of food at Morton's with Bill and Angry Johnny
-tracking this horribly sad story: http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/asiapcf/08/20/baby.whale/index.html?iref=mpstoryview
-watching "Fay" make her way across Florida and sitting here very jealous that my sister got some free days off work out of it
-researching for fantasy football
-reading wedding blogs (my new secret vice) and staying quite content that Bill and I decided to not do the giant wedding "thing"
-watching the Olympics even though I am half asleep when all the good events come on
-looking up Olympic athletes and realizing that the Chinese gymnast and the Chinese trampoline girl and in fact, NOT the same person- sigh.
-becoming extremely angry when it seems every other day some UF football player has torn an ACL
-realizing that if I am to stay a Cleveland Browns fan, I better just get used to not winning.
-hitting the gym again at 5:30am- it still sucks
-fighting with the GE service people and our Condo staff for being inept stupid mother f-ers.
-secretly dvr-ing my other secret vice "Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood" and waiting for Bill to go back to school to watch it
-enjoying time with Bill while he has been on vaca from school- one more semester!!!
-partying on the bridge outside our condo- we really need to take advantage of that more. I mean when you can get the pizza delivery guy to actually deliver the pizza to you outside, what could be better?
-declaring my all-raging hatred for Michigan people who can't drive. When a lane merges, YOU HAVE TO LET PEOPLE MERGE YOU STUPID ASSHOLE!!!!!!!!!!
-seeing an "ok" OAR show where the teenage drama of the fans was actually much better than their set-list.
-trying to figure out a good time to go see "Tropic of Thunder" bc I've heard it's great.
-anxiously awaiting the Legends/BW softball game this weekend so I can see if Rob Deer and 80sBand are really any good.
-falling more and more in love with my Iphone
Ok well I am going to go back to working on our website a bit more.
Don't worry, I don't work on it for more than about 15 minutes at time, before deciding I don't want to tax myself that much, and switch to surfing the internet......

Boardwalk wins!!!!!
so Bill's team won the LEISA Championship last night!
It was a total 180 of the game the night before (against the same team)- great game and great celebration after...
I like to call myself the official team photographer and I got some great shots- I'll post the "tamer" ones later on.
Plus Bill gave me a medal for being the #1 fan!!!
lol
I'm sure he will write a detailed account but there really was no question, they had the game in the bag from the beginning- the Winery lost whatever steam they had from the night before and basically got romped.
I'm tired again this morning (that 7am ferry blows) but it's ok- it was worth it!!!!

Take 2
I think I speak for Bill, Rob Deer, TNash, and 80sBand when I say:
"I'm tired"...
good times though!!!
I'm sure Bill will post more in detail but in short, BW did not win last night, thus we head back there (PIB) tonight for the final game.
Go Boardwalk!
more to come later (maybe)

Send me one!!
I recommend the Death Penalty for Stupid People
So first this:
http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/08/06/mountain.lion.ap/index.html
WTF is wrong with people? Who goes to sleep with a door open to their house???????
Have people not learned that BAD things happen if you do that?
So...I think they should get the death penalty for being so F-ING STUPID!
A poor dog had to die (and I'm sure it was not pleasant to be eaten by a mountain lion) all because his owners are fucking retarded.
So 2 out of 4 of my parents are arriving today.
It should be a good time- gonna show my step-mom my "dress" and probably eat a shit ton of good food. Tomorrow Bill and I are taking off work to show the 'rents the "infamous" Put-in-Bay.
This is actually really exciting for me bc it will be the first time any of my family gets to see the Island.
So that is where I will be tomorrow- I know you will probably be lonely for me and miss what would have probably been the greatest blog ever had I not taken off work and written one.
(that was the worst run-on sentence ever, I apologize)
See ya Friday- go Boardwalk!

Got a chance
Friday night we pick up The Formerly Known Grave Digger and head to Island.
Ferry ride was very hot- I had to poor water on the poor doggies to cool them off...
Bill and I have dinner at the Boardwalk.
We then went to P house to hang out before going out.
-Borat: watched the last half- we laughed, alot
-vomiting shrimp: i.e. my dinner at the Boardwalk- I was peeing, and then I was throwing up, who knows?
-lightning show: it was really cool to watch the storm come over the island because it started out looking like heat lightning.
-it rained, a lot- power went out in Fishbowl, that was fun.
Saturday:
-took ferry over to Middle Bass- met the dumbest girl ever (she was heading over to Middle Bass to hang out at a winery that had been closed for 8 years, get a clue girl- of course she is a Florida State grad, more on that later)
- so we went to Rob Deer's house (actually at that point, we hadn't even talked to Rob Deer yet, all plans were made with his dad (we'll call him "Exotic Spice").
- Exotic Spice makes us the BEST breakfast- potatoes and pancakes. The pancakes were made with, yes you guessed it, exotic spices (hey, if I tell you, I'll have to tell EVERYONE).
We spent the next couple of hours hanging out on RB's deck with TNash and Exotic Spice.
There was no shortage of Big 10/SEC rivalry talks and Exotic Spice and I had some really "colorful" conversations. I enlightened him so much that he even said he was going to type up everyting he had "learned" from me that morning.
-After a delightful morning, we headed over to a friend of RB's to go swimming, it was a brilliant time except for it taking me like 45 minutes to pee in the lake. I had to go so badly and my body kept fighting me, but anyway it was a great time and cheers to the lovely man who gave us a ride back to PIB on his boat
Saturday night:
-met up with RB and TNash on one of our favorite patios to have some drinks.
-all of a sudden RB pulls out a typed document (3 pages) that Exotic Spice had worked on all afternoon to give to me. He managed to capture all of my spot-on SEC/Big 10 observations and even added some of his own. It was f-ing hilarious. I love him.
-then we headed to meet up with Capt D and MCD to watch a band that I still can't quite get the name correct- that was fun.
Saw the biggest idiot girl again and tried to have a little FSU/UF rivarly fun- it went over her head, of course, what was I expecting- afterall this was a girl who was headed over to spend an afternoon at a winery that made national news when it closed down.
and I digress...
- a little while later, (after spending way too much time playing with straws) MCD, TNash and I headed out for some girl time at the Crescent- (to go visit a friend that works there and came with us to Cunt-tucky)- it was a blast, I had lots of shots and we headed back to meet our boys at the Fishbowl.
-we get there and Capt D is not there, but MCD does not let that damper her (drunk as hell) mood.
-then RD comes up with the most amazing of ideas: L-E-A-K jump rope dancing.
You may have seen something like it on tv, but we were much much better.
Teets and RD worked the "ropes" and MCD and I swiftly danced back and forth between "them".
I wish it was on video.
We then "Raged" for a bit and all stopped and stared as Teets went a little CRAZY- shirt off, flailing around as if having a seizure-
great times!!!!
I think we all felt a little old as we had to stop and catch our breath for a little bit after ending the night with a Miley Cyrus dance-off...
It was one of my best times ever at the Fishbowl.
I definitely cried from laughing.
Sunday Funday
-every year a friend of Bill's parents has a big party on Kelley's Island.
Bill and I managed to "convince" our friends to come with us to share in the fun.
I definitely ate my weight in ribs and lamb chops and cookies.
The "bartender" at the party must have had a personal goal to empty alcohol bottles as fast as she good, because our drinks were STIFF AND STRONG- wait for it....wait for it...
THATSWHATSHESAID!
- anyway it was a great time, great weather- great friends, full belly- drunk- what more can I ask for?
- we then headed back to PIB for a night of softball. Bill wasn't playing but he wanted to "scout" out the other teams or really just hang out with people.
- we got to see a cougar in action (it really was so pathetic, she is about 43 or so, he is about 23 and showed no real interest, but the cougar was still on the prowl) - we hung out with Angry Johnny's parents which is always entertaining! :)
- after the game, we did what is most fun and just hung around the field laughing and BS-ing.
-it was one of those really great days
Not fun? waking up (well that would imply I was sleeping, for some reason, I just could not fall asleep last night) for the 6am ferry.
Lucky for us Capt D and MCD were on the same ferry, just as miserable, so it made it ok.
Got to work only a couple of minutes later and now I am sitting here figuring out what else to do for the day, because I sure as hell am not ready to do any work.
p.s.- Congrats to my sister and Balls Deep on the new "baby"....

Swingers and Dave Matthews
In no particular order...
this is the hotel where Bill and I will be married:
Interestingly enough, another fabulous event will be taking place there as well.
Too bad it's not the same weekend as the wedding...
http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/local/broward/sfl-flbswingers0731sbjul31,0,3123079.story
Last night Bill and I went to the DMB concert.
To be honest, I'm never really "that" excited beforehand.
I only know a handful of his songs, but Bill loves him, and I love Bill so I gladly go.
However once we get there, I'm always REALLY excited because we have (for the past 2 years) had the most AMAZING seats!
Last year 3rd row, to the right.
This year 6th row- dead center.
Who wouldn't be excited?!!!
My favorite part is walking down to our seats because I like to think people are looking at us and feeling a bit jealous.
The concert was great- started out a little slow for me bc I didn't recognize any of the songs but then he played a great version of "two steps"? or something like that and it only got better from there.
Apparently it rained pretty heavily more near home, but the rain gods cleared the skies over Blossom Music Center. Although to be honest, it could have rained and I wouldn't have even cared because of course WE WERE RIGHT UP FRONT UNDER COVER!
Ahh...feels good to have a boyfriend (oh wait I mean "fiannnceee"- ugh we both hate that word) who jumped the gun and joined the DMB fan club early on...
more later....

One month and counting....
In one month, Bill and I will once again enter into the "tricky" phase of our relationship:
College Football Season.
Yes I live in Ohio.
Yes I am going to marry into THE Ohio State cheering section.
But I will ALWAYS be a Florida Gator.
10 years ago, Bill and I would have been fine.
OSU and UF never really had much to do with one another.
Well we all know that changed.
I like to think that "fate" had something to do with that...JAR and Bill finally find the perfect person in one another, hey let's play with their heads a little and have their teams play each other!
Well we've feathered it so far.
I even managed to get some UF National Championship memorabilia into our condo.
This year we have a wedding to plan.
It slated to be right in the middle of the BCS bowl games.
Part of me HOPES we won't have to get married with another Florida/Ohio State game on the horizon.
Of course, most of me hopes WE DO! (although I'm not sure Bill and I can be in the same viewing area if that happens again).
Last night while Bill was at school, I spent about 2 hours on youtube watching old game highlights.
Got some goosebumps, even a bit teary at times.
LET'S GO GATORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas...
in July!!!
So yeah 7-25, apparently this is Xmas in July.
I'll admit that before moving to Ohio and becoming part of the Put-in-Bay lifestyle, it isn't something I had really heard of.
There are other things that I never really heard of before meeting people from Ohio and then moving here:
-Sweetest Day
-Beer Pong
-Cornhole
(I know the last 2 make it seem like I grew up in BFE or my college was sheltered, but I grew up in Ft. Lauderdale and went to college at the University of Florida- a pretty big deal, you might have heard of us)
;)
So in becoming an "Ohio-an" I've had to learn about these things and "blend" (as Bill's mom once told me-lol).
Update on me "blending"....
Today I was in a store and saw a cute shirt/hoodie- it came in a variety of colors.
I bought the red/grey (or scarlet or whatever!!) version.
I saw it and thought, I could wear this to Buckeye games.
and then I threw up in my mouth a little.
But it is a cute shirt....
oh yeah, another site I stumbled on today..

Wrecked it...I dang near killed it!
I have a talent.
I can find the craziest links online.
I won't share how I do it, but I'll share the results:

Today I stumbled onto this:

This being a goldmine of laughter and a little bit of "shock and awe"

Want to go night-night
8:03 am
Barely can keep eyes open...
Dog update:
Yesterday afternoon I made my way down to Akron with Buster to go see the Doggie Eye Specialist.
Highlights:
-Buster had to have paper strips stuck in his eyes to see if he was producing enough tears- it was painful to watch.
-Buster has an "Indolent Corneal Ulcer": http://www.cairnrescue.com/docs/IndolentCornealUlcer.htm
So now I have to decide what to do with him.
Yuck.
I was a little down about that but lucky for me Angry Johnny decided to take me out to dinner!
I chose Lola!
It was just as good as when Bill T. and I went.
http://jarthoughts.blogspot.com/2008/03/pepto-bismol-i-love-thee.html
Bill could not join us so I decided to eat a little before I met AJ so that I wouldn't scarf down all the food thus saving enough for Bill to have a good amount of my leftovers.
Hey, you give me an amazing ring, and I save food for you. (I normally don't share food well, I become very territorial)
After dinner we decided to meet up with Capt D. and MCD.
Partytard met up with us as well.
Walking into the bar, Bill T. was also arriving so it made for a good group.
The place was d-e-a-d but we managed to secure some beers (Partytard was a Miller Lite WINNER!) and just hung out.
Maybe it was the wine I had at dinner, or maybe it was just the people around me, but I decided that I was going to throw caution to the wind and stay out late (having made a previous decision that I would just go into work late).
I think Bill T. was a little tired bc he decided to go home so I went as well.
It was around 11:15- which actually is VERY late for me to be out on a Monday night- I'm a nerd I know.
We get home and I set my alarm clock and crawl into bed.
5:20am BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP
WTF??????????????????????
Yeah, I forgot to CHANGE my alarm setting for later (see previous decision to go into work late).
Well once that g-d alarm goes off, the dogs start stirring and there is no going back.
I got up.
Walked/fed the dogs.
I worked out.
At 6:42am I stood in our kitchen and wavered back and forth between getting in the shower, and crawling back into bed.
I decided that just sucking it up and going to work on time would be best.
WRONG WRONG WRONG
Because right now I am like a zombie.
I know that going to sleep around midnight does not seem that late, but my body is used to passing out on the couch at around 10:30 pm or so.
So right now I am sitting here deciding how early I can leave work and not have to hear the 400 lb. gorilla I work with moan and groan (above the usual moaning and groaning she does just from walking).
Barely can keep eyes open...

Monday 1:34pm
Had a fun weekend- even started looking for a wedding dress!!
Things overheard:
-"Crooked!!! Bent!!"
-"They are making me TOURIST drinks! F-it let's leave!"
-"Trey no! Trey quiet! Trey shhh!!!"
-"WHAT'S THE NAME OF THE GAME???!!!!"
-taunts from my balcony to people down on the street
-"I want a gyro...now!!!!!"
-"You are 49 years old"- yeah that is how old the Wii machine told me I was...
Tonight- AngryJohnny and I are going on a "date" to dinner!!! Bill T. will be on the Island playing softball and lucky for me, AngryJohnny is in town and feels the need to EXPENSE a NICE dinner.
Then perhaps we will meet Capt D. and his lovely wife MCD out for drinks!
First I have to get a vet apt in Akron out of the way.
Poor little black pug's eye is still all crusty so we are going to see a Specialist!
Yep- I know- $$$$$$$$$
But he is my [Black] child so whatever....

Happy Birthday...
Angry Johnny!!!!!!!
I wish I could say that Bill and I were driving towards NYC with a keg of Palm Wonderfulness (I miss Lil' Chaz!) for you, but at least you get to go to one of the many bars that now carry it.
Sometimes when I've had a few too many Cran. Vods. and Bill and I get to talking about the LEIC, I try and pick my favorite LEIC member...
well....today it's YOU...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
